I’ve been taking pictures for the Carmelite sisters in preparation of the 75th anniversary celebration of the founding of their convent. On a stormy evening, I captured this image of the chapel steeple and the amazing sky in the background. I was touched by the fact that a cross in the sky, probably a combination of clouds and jet trails, seemed to be mirroring the cross on the chapel at Carmel. It was a very special moment for me.

Simply incredible! This gives me goosebumps! There has to be a message from above in this. What were the sisters’ reactions?

  • The nuns were in the cloister, Dot; only one of the externs (a sister who deals with the public) was outside at the time, watering flowers. In her usual faith-filled way, she smiled warmly, and said, “That cross in the sky is mirroring ours,” and then just went about her business. I was spellbound!

Wow! You just can’t plan things like that. Lovely shot and amazing happening!

  • Thanks, Zoe! I often pray that God will be glorified through my pictures; I think He gave me a wonderful light show here! I am blessed.
