Siesta Time for the Roseates by Bonnie T. Barry

I thought these nesting roseate spoonbills were so interesting, their heads tucked comfortably as they dozed in and out of a mid morning siesta.

I took this photo with a Nikon D300 camera, the Nikkor 500mm lens with a 2X Nikon teleconverter.

Spoonbill are beautiful birds! We hve them here in SWFL I thought they found another feeding ground for I have not seen them in groups for a year, but just this past week we went back to the flat and there were 30-40 on the flat. So glad they are back. Nice capture !!!!
