I watched this snowy egret as he caught one fish after another. He was quite adept at what he was doing. It was amazing to see him pull them in and gulp each one down with gusto.

Awesome capture, Bonnie!
Thank you, Dot!
Thank you, Tallow.
Oh my!!! :OI am absolutely stunned, transfixed, blown away and in awe of your sheer genius and gift. A most stunning, and I would dare to say, favourite of all you beautiful birds!!!!
But I’m dying to know what camera/lens etc you used to obtain such clarity and manage such an awesome motion capture.
I wonder if this would sit well in the KAIROS group?
love and prayers…xxxxOoxx
Thank you for your wonderful comments, Jan. In this case, I used the Nikon D300 with the Nikon 80-400mm VR lens, hand held, ISO 400, 1/1000 s @ f/5.6. VR was off; I do better without it. Hope that helps! And thanks again for your generous response to this image.
Absolutely Beautiful…Wonderful capture!!!!
Thank you, Sandy; wish I could fish as well as this snowy can!
Dottie, this is a fantastic capture, truly. I love the setting where his feet on the falls look like they are dripping down with the water, the puff of feathers the wind caught and the perfect timing of the fish that was caught. I love to watch them stretch that neck and throw back their dinner whole, lol. Superb capture, my friend!! :) Karen
Thank you, Karen. I appreciate your eye for all the little details.
I am at a loss for words….. =)
Thanks so much, Kimmie; it was a joy watching this fellow at work!
Beautifully captured Snowy Egret catching fish! The Egret stands out so wonderfully against the blue/green water! : )
Thanks a million, Sandy. I appreciate it.
