Let nothing, O Lord, disturb the silence . . . by

Let nothing, O Lord, disturb the silence.
Let nothing make me afraid.
Let me now, in the dying moments of this day, cast
aside my concerns and commend myself wholly to your care.
For if I have you, God, I will want for nothing.

St. Teresa of Avila (Order of Discalced Carmelites)

This is simply magical, and makes me want to write.

    So here goes

In a single moment, an instant, a point in time
The mind reflects what enters these eyes of mine.
    A perfect mirror, colourful, light,
    Bluish day into orange night
    A standing Monarch, blackened, tall
Watches the end of daytime fall
    An effigy of sublime reflection
    Sprawling under it’s perfection
And as the Godly sun falls down
He peeps for one last look around
And in that moment, all serene
    Reality, becomes our dream

  • WOW! You are magical! I’m so happy this inspired you to write such a wonderful piece. Thank you; thank you; thank you! I am honored.
