This has long been one of my favorite prayers. There are so many times when one doesn’t know how to pray, what to pray. These words seem to fill the bill, entrusting to the loving wisdom of the Holy Spirit those issues that are too large for our small minds to fathom and our tiny hearts to carry.
Here is that prayer: “O, Holy Spirit, Beloved of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten me; guide me; strengthen me; console me. Tell me what I should do. Give me your orders. I promise to submit myself to whatever you desire for me and to accept whatever you permit to happen to me. Help me only to do your will.”
