Wow – absolutely vivid and lovely, Bonnie! These are fiddly flowers to shoot and this is so detailed throughout – I’m speechless (well its all relative!) ;o))) Great sho!

  • Thanks, Krys, I don’t know what I’m doing but I keep trying. I actually was trying to capture a hummingbird moth be he was too elusive; the flowers were more cooperative!

  • OOPS, meant BUT he was too elusive . . .

Well I hope you get that Hummingbird Hawk Moth! We DO have those over here occasionally – the nearest thing to the real Hummingbird! They are gorgeous but I haven’t snapped one yet. Good luck – would love to see a pic of one! ;o)

Very pretty image, Bonnie, and MUCH easier than the Humming Bird Hawk Moth. They are very fast but if you study them carefully you can predict (to a limited extent) their movements. Hope you get one, in the mean time, more dianthus will do nicely, thank you.

This flower has so much detail, from it’s pointed edges, to its tones of color. Wonderful photo my friend.
