I agree, Joanne, that the cardinals are very nervous; they seem to hear and see better than most birds and take off at the slightest signs of intrusion. Keep trying, though; sometimes their hunger outweighs their fear and you can get in a few clicks! Thank you for your kind comment.

Thanks so much, Krys. I’m trying to get back into a normal pattern, but adjusting to the blood pressure medicine has been kind of rough. I’m not used to needing a nap during the day or not really feeling like going outdoors to see the birds. I’m sure I’ll get through this eventually. God bless you for your thoughtfulness.

I didn’t realize cardinals were rare in Florida. After one of the recent hurricanes I didn’t see them for a while, but they have made a great comeback and are more abundant than ever now.
