Pearl Crescent Butterfly
The Pearl Crescent is a very small butterfly with a wing span of about an inch and a half. This one was feeding on spring clover blossoms and was extraordinarily cooperative, allowing me to get very close with the macro lens. (Image is full frame, no cropping).

Pearl Crescent Butterfly belongs to the following groups:
Butterflies, Skippers, Moths, & Other Winged Insects (2 a Day) and Just Butterflies Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Thanks, Jesika! This little beauty was so cooperative I had time to get kind of creative with the framing! At first I kept trying to get the entire butterfly within the frame and after I got a bunch of those, I zeroed in for his upper body. Now I’ve got to go and change my jeans; got them full of mud from kneeling in the grass! Thanks again for the view and the kind words.
