What a great photo! Love this. The write-up is also so interesting. I’ve never heard of anything like this before. Don’t ya wonder what’s going through their little brains when they do something like this? He/she,must be trying to figure out who that image is! Our dog Daisy, sits in front of our oven door, which reflects her image on the oven door pane, and whines for her treats! We can’t figure out why she’d sit there and look at herself like that and whine. The treats are above the oven on the shelf and at times she sits to the side of the oven and looks upward where the treats are kept and whines, which makes perfect sense! But the oven door thing. . .not so much!

What a fun shot!!!!! We had a cardinal that would ‘attack’ our bedroom window at 5 a.m. every morning for about three weeks last spring!! I think he was trying to protect his territory from another male – not realizing it was himself he was looking at in the window!!! lol

LOL! I love this photo, and story!! I have one that does the same thing, she loves looking at herself in my car mirror! I thought this one was a bit strange, but now I see it is normal!! LOL! Great shot, and thanks for sharing this story…xo Carolyn

I caught a male Blue Tit attacking a car wing mirror 2 years ago. Like many, I thought this was a unique event, but I’m pleased to learn other people live around equally daft birds!
