Rolling out the Welcome Mat
The brick walkway leading to this lovely home reminds me of a welcome mat rolled out to guests that are weary and in need of some good old-fashioned hospitality. That’s why I took the photo from this angle. Hope you like it. But there’s more to this story . . .
The original photo of this charming old mansion in the Deep South was enhanced by my good pal Maria Dryfhout from Michigan. Like a fairy godmother, Maria waved her magic wand over the image and VOILA! Isn’t it grand? Thanks a million, Maria! View Maria’s Gallery here
I’d like to dedicate this image to two people, Maria, who did such a beautiful job on my original photo, and Carol, my dear friend who is from St. Francisville where this house is located. This one’s for the two of you girls!
