Out of the mouths of babes
A baby cardinal in the nest is a sight to behold. It makes me think of the Psalmist who wrote, “Out of the mouths of babes, you have fashioned praise.” (Ps 8:3) There’s something about a baby that just brings joy and love to the forefront, joy and love that spring from the Almighty!

Love keeping up with the cardinals right alongside you, Bons. They are my favorite birds. In fact, one greeted me practically face-to-face this morning as I arrived at work. Apparently, he was eager to act as doorman and just plain house crier, I guess, as I approached the front porch, where he dipped and dove and looped-the-loop as though in my honor – felt special . . . and blessed. Don’t remember ever having been that close to one – even tried to whip out my cell phone for a quick take; wouldn’t you know it, though, the palace guard in the dazzling red uniform turned out to be camera shy and flew away! :-)
