I am a resident of southern Louisiana, a retired high school English teacher, a writer, and a huge fan of photography ever since my husband gave me my first DSLR camera several years ago.

Thank you for viewing my pictures and for helping me learn about this fascinating field of study. I hope I can mirror, even in a tiny way, some of the beauty of this wonderful world we’re privileged to inhabit. A sense of appreciation and gratitude is the least we can do in response to all that the good Lord has given us. I try to convey that in my images.

Quote: “For those who have faith, the entire universe speaks of the Triune God. From the spaces between the stars to microscopic particles, all that exists refers to a Being who communicates himself in the multiplicity and variety of elements, as in an immense symphony.” Pope Benedict XVI

I hope these humble images I’ve captured add sweet notes of harmony to the universal symphony alluded to in the above words of the Holy Father.

Stock Photography

Years ago, I tried my hand at stock photography and pretty much gave up on it. In the recent few years, I gave it another go and would like to share with anyone who is interested what I learned through this experience. I think, first and foremost, I learned the value of tough critiques of my images. Every picture that is submitted to the site has to be evaluated thoroughly and picked through with…

Shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana

I live about fifteen miles from where the shooting occurred at the Grand Theater in Lafayette, Louisiana. I can’t think of anything to say that is more fitting or more eloquent than what Father Michael Russo of Our Lady of Fatima Parish said after that horrific night in Acadiana. Here is the link to his “sermon”: http://klfy.com/2015/07/26/restoring-christian-faith-our-lady-of-f…

Remembering Sheryl Kasper

Today, as I was sitting in my little bird house, hiding and hoping the songbirds would land nearby so I could photograph them, I got an email on my IPhone from a Red Bubble friend. I was shocked to learn that our mutual friend, Sheryl Kasper, also a Red Bubble member, had passed away! It seemed not very long since I’d heard from her, but she hadn’t mentioned anything about illness. I …
