I am a resident of southern Louisiana, a retired high school English teacher, a writer, and a huge fan of photography ever since my husband gave me my first DSLR camera several years ago.
Thank you for viewing my pictures and for helping me learn about this fascinating field of study. I hope I can mirror, even in a tiny way, some of the beauty of this wonderful world we’re privileged to inhabit. A sense of appreciation and gratitude is the least we can do in response to all that the good Lord has given us. I try to convey that in my images.
Quote: “For those who have faith, the entire universe speaks of the Triune God. From the spaces between the stars to microscopic particles, all that exists refers to a Being who communicates himself in the multiplicity and variety of elements, as in an immense symphony.” Pope Benedict XVI
I hope these humble images I’ve captured add sweet notes of harmony to the universal symphony alluded to in the above words of the Holy Father.

I have my mission – I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for nothing. Therefore, I will trust him. Whatever, where…
There are some things that have to be shared, and I think this is one of them. This morning, I woke up feeling burdened by many cares. I tried to shake off the feeling of heaviness and discouragement over long-term issues that never seem to get resolved, but I wasn’t succeeding. All I could do was turn to the Lord with a sigh in my heart and hope for His help and understanding. / “Be …
O God our Creator, / Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit, / you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, / bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel / to every corner of society. / We ask you to bless us / in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty. / Give us the strength of mind and heart / to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened…
With the U.S. election only days away, I feel compelled to share this with the people here. About a year ago, I went to one of my specialist physicians for my yearly examination. I have been going to this doctor for many years now, and I really admire and trust her. She told me, as my examination was coming to an end, that she had some news she needed to share with me. “I won’t be abl…
