This is one of the few remaining groynes that are along the pebble ridge at Westward Ho, in North devon (UK)
The light that evening was just fantastic, and have never seen anything quite like it again.
This is a very much photographed image, though i have never taken another one as good.

This is a great capture of some really unusual light. Well composed and almost other worldly. I have been in Devon a time or two and my wife student taught there back in the eighties. She keeps wanting to take me back, and I would love to, but we are on the west coast of the US.
