Who's on Twitter?
I am. RedBubble is too. And i have definitely noticed a jump in sales since i’ve been on there. Whatever you think of it, it is a good place to post links to your work here. And a good way to promote others as well. Mobii’s “Nobody Reads Your Tweets” shirt seems to be going viral on there right now, he’s probably goint to retire a millionaire, or at least get his bar on the beach. Some of the people on here who’s work i’ve tweeted – mobii, Janis Zroback, Dorothy Venter, nexus7, Mui-Ling Teh, Rajee, Incredible India Group, and Yanmos.
A few quick hints-
1)You only get 140 characters, including links. Shorten a long url by going to tinyurl.com No code needed, just paste url’s as is.
2)Follow lots of people, you’ll get followed back.
3) They have a pretty good search function on there to find both people and subjects.
4) A few ways to find people to follow – You can pick through other people’s follower/followees, use the search function to look for subjects you find interesting, look at links via @ replies, search museums, companies, organizations that interest you, etc.
5)Anyone who does t shirts – most of the big companies – zazzle, threadless, designs by humans, hide your arms, artevist, mysoti, skreened, etc will happily follow you back.
6) Janis says below about uploading you artwork to the background – I haven’t figured that out yet, but Thick Black Outline has an awesome looking page there. Also don’t forget to put you website in your info section, that’s what people will click on when they look at your profile.
7) Don’t worry about getting unfollowed. I get unfollowed a lot :) (i can be kind of obnoxious i guess). And you’ll get unfollowed by some people you don’t follow back, people with different interests, etc. Sometimes you’ll get refollowed as you post more. It’s no biggie either way.
8) Something else for anyone with a Zazzle shop – there’s a “Twitter” link at the bottom of your product pages, click on that and it will upload straight to Twitter. And if you’re lucky and Zaz is working properly, (and you’re logged into Zaz) ,your referral code will be included too.

I am loving it….it’s so quick and way better than any of the others…I have dropped face book and myspace….on Twitter I follow, and have some very interesting people following me…but the best part is all the new stuff you learn…music, art, news, and lots of sites I would have never found on my own… heres my link Paintability I will also follow anyone from Redbubble…I already follow DanaMs and Helen Bascom and Asiantees…

It’s actually not difficult…I played arround with it until I found a look that I liked and now I change it a lot…you go to settings, then click design on the top bar, then change background image below the preset choices….upload one of your images no larger than 800 dpi, then save…you can see how it looks right away….next click design colours on the right, you get a colour wheel so you can change the colours of text, background, sidebar, links etc…you can see what it looks like right away…if you like it you save it…

I find they are quite fast actually, and maybe that’s because of my computer…..so it’s the same speed even though I change my page design all the time…

I have a fairly powerful computer that holds a lot of data, but it loads even faster after I have emptied the trash and deleted stuff out of the hard drive that I don’t want any more…also I just loaded a lot of my paintings on to discs, taking them out of storage on the computer, and that made a huge difference to the speed too…

A good way to find RB people on Twitter is to find @redbubble_hq (Who i see you’re already following) and look thru their list of followers and following, you can find lots of bubblers to follow there. And i think @webgrrlbiz has started a group or twibe for RedBubble on there too. (But i haven’t yet totally figured out the twibe and group thing yet). You can also do searches under art, artists, drawing, t shirt designers, etc topics.

And i saw on your website that you have an Etsy shop, you can follow @etsy they have tons of followers you can pick thru. They have a few other profiles too, an etsy green, and others i think too. And And you can click on other people’s @links and replies to find people too. And you can block your porno followers and the spammers too.
