Quite an artful piece; it looks like a painting. With the subject not looking at the camera, it gives the work a more Zen-like feeling, that she is one with the water and really into the light and the movement. I’ve never been in a kayak myself, but can imagine the burn in my biceps and across my shoulders, the feel of my hand around that oar.
