MindBaby

This is a composite of two photos.
First, I created a model of an embryo from Super Sculpey, affixed it to a wooden chopstick which I had painted black, then – to stop it falling over – stuck it into a chunk of modeling clay on top of my dresser. I turned off the main light, shone two mini led flashlights on the model, and took a photo of it. I did a bit of light painting during the exposure.
Next, I took the fetus model out of the plasticine, and replaced it with a lightbulb. I followed the same lighting and photographing procedure as with the baby.
Then I combined the two shots in Photoshop.

A mindbaby is a creative thought… sort of like a brainchild.
