WHY:
i got the assignment in school to draw this story from above. it is a really good exercise to draw diffrent then you always do.
MATERIAL:
the same as always.
brown paper on white paper.
pieces of blue paper for the river.
the children drawn in pen and coloured in with pastels.
some wallpaper with flowers and yellow tape for a nice effect.
TORY
this story is about a boy and a girl who live on difrrent sides of the river but want to be togheter.
The boy takes a boat and goes over the river, then they play. Then you need to turn over the drawings and you can see the boy going back home and saying goodbye.
So! this drawing is also the last one but upside down.

Every kid loves drawing, I just never stopped. 1 day my teacher in highschool told me I could go to an artschool because I was so good in all that artistic stuff. And so I did. I went to the artschool in Genk. It was a whole new world, for the first time I was completely in a world were art and drawing was important. It was so inspirational. Now I am studying at the St-Lucas in Gent for a bachelor. I still have 1 year to go. Than I can start working on my career as an professional illustrator.
