she was born in her own dreams
and the door to her dreams

lucifer and venus stand over her bed
and go to war to claim their prizes
venus wishes to steal her beauty
and lucifer’s prize… her soul
to free himself of the dark
they say…
she’s the princess of both sides of that door
and when two sides go to war,
she fights for both
against both
yet she belongs to both

the only key to the door
she keeps it in the dark of her heart
they say…
the paper crane she keeps tied to her finger
is his soul
and she keeps it that way
because she doesn’t want to lose him
again
