they found one winter together

she dressed in poise
opium beauty
and scent of wisteria
wore a smile on her lips
heaven and dreams
rosy and blush
hid secrets in her heart
filled with tears
of amber sad eyes

he wore with great pride
the king’s eyes secretly admired
pinned his crown
on starched handkerchief
embroidered with scrolled initials
his heart hard but porous
mighty tall with power and will

they watched each other’s winter
but never a word between the two

she sang her poems each night
played the harp
her hair black and silk
with a long jade dress
curtaining her stage

he listened every word
every chord
and every note
he knew them by heart
even into his dreams
it resonated
her pain and secret desires

they wished each other
sweet nights
but not a single word
only in dreams

in his dreams
he sang her poems
as he made her his queen

hidden in my smiles
my sad heart
hollowed and empty

hidden in the twinkles
my tears and my fears

hidden in the silence
my longing for you
the scent of you

hiding in my pillow
i drown in your arms
and in your heart

but how would you know
how would you know

but not a word
not a single word

in her heart
grew endless longing
gathered dragonflies
but grey with fear
to spread their wings

in his heart
found the star seeds
in every pore
of his porous
and ash green heart

on the very last night
of their winter
she left to find spring

“will you stay?” he asked

standing behind her on her footsteps

“no,” without turning, she answered

“are you not sad?” he asked

“no,” she answered

“are you not afraid?” he asked

“no,” she answered

“do you not long for me?” he asked

“no,” she answered

“why not?” he asked

“because of you,” she answered

“because i’ve found you and now i know i have you,” she said

as she continued towards her spring

“always in my heart…” and her voice faded

“i will find you again,” he whispered

“even if it takes 200 years…

or more…”

    hi jono… just googled “2046”... from watching the trailer, i could see how beautiful the movie is… now it’s on my to see list… thank you very much… i fell asleep last night with some of the words for the ending in my head, and as soon as i had enough time to think and type, i typed it right on red bubble as the words came… no rough draft… and i don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but i came back and edited over and over a few times… i am that lazy(to do rough… same goes for all my art)... or impatient, is it?... :P
