i’ve sat around many times and held discussions on the topic what is art? with my young students… most answered “self expression”... i used to tell them that it is “self indulgence”... it is highly subjective, i know, and my views have changed… and i do influence my students greatly… hope they see it as gift too and learn to cherish and use it to express themselves….

Our gifts need not always be used to bring glory to God but we really should heavily consider it since He is the giver of the gift.
I feel God has given me a gift in photography. I will take photos and add scripture to them. I will take photos of Gods creation to celebrate it. I will also take a photo of something that may in a way give less glory to God. I will not take photos that promote ungodliness such as porn, bondage, drunkeness, and so on.
Mimi…not going to church is not a sin. Church is a place of fellowship and teaching. I know what you mean though. You felt some guilt in not going. If forgiveness is needed, if you ask with a sincere heart, God will forgive.
Hats off to you for giving God the glory for your gifts. Through Christ we can obtain peace that passes human understanding. It is good to know God is working in your life and you are acknowledging it.
