This one strikes me as very violent… Perhaps it’s the expresionless appearance, coupled with the way the colours run down from her neck? I don’t really like the way you’ve done her hair in this one, but her face is beautifully drawn. I feel as though you particularly enjoyed drawing her face, and it really shows. The eyes are perfect.

I like the way you’ve let the paint dribble down the canvas, its something I try to leave in when it happens, but I find its hard to stop myself from ‘neatening things up’ :) You always seem to be able to keep your style nice and free… :)

Hi Mimi! I just have to say that your works are truly breathtaking; the passion that you give to your pieces really shows with those strokes, and how i love how you do them. The seemingly carefree and wild strokes on the hair is just an amazing contrast to the careful and expressive execution of the face. To me traditional art is THE highest form of visual art and I am always in awe of those people who have this gift, such gift that you have. :) Keep on.
