this is how i spent last 20 minutes at my work
yesterday… i had a minor anxiety…mmm…
not an attack but a visit… had to create something.

We get crows all year round. They’re cool to watch. And one day last August I watched out the window as twenty or thirty blackbirds fought in the trees outside.

It was and I didn’t. I was busy doing something. Cool though. At one stage one of them flew in and kicked his buddy off the branch he was on and he tumbled down about ten foot through the branches cawing the blackbird equivalent of “you fkn bastard you.” or that’s what I thought at the time. It all seemed pretty amiable.

mmm, this is gorgeous and dark and frantic and i love it mimi. the streaks, the drips… but the peacefulness of the blackbird… and the one splash of red, the one red feather… makes my heart skip a beat. it’s something that’s been in my notebook of ideas for a while :) beautiful beautiful work and yay you for turning anxiety into this.

The work has power. Ravens and crows are messengers. They bring news, usually of ill events happened or future. I like the way the bird directs our view away to the right where we find what is deeper still than the bird alone depicts. Thanks for sharing.

haha… my anxiety attack is nothing of that degree… often at work (i teach art ) i want to create but if a parent walks in or if i have to do a consultation or just don’t find an inspiration, i become a bit edgy or anxious… it’s the urge to create that causes it… : ) thank you johnny… with the anxiousness (felt like i had one cup of coffee too many) i painted this piece like a lightening has struck…. : )
