pacific or atlantic doesn't matter anymore
i lay beside him
a gentle touch on my shoulder
kind reminder that he is here
still i turn to my side
with him to my back
there i see an island
across the black vast
walks with cobble stones under our feet
narrow and arcos
grey and stone walled french castles
outline our autumn walks
one heart shaped cookie
and a tray of circles oddly shaped
and his smile
koi swim in kyoto
spring rain and lily pad
a map of an angel
still leads back 200 seasons
destination north pole
where we once danced
my pillow drowns
in black and indigo
the island drowns
i drown

It’s a kind of surealistic feeling between the pastel and the poem

thanks kamel for viewing… : )

i’ll have to come back to this one… it leaves me feeling adrift…........b
mimi yoon replied
: ) ok bu… anytime, dear…

Oh yes mimi – I totally relate to what both kamel and butchart said….this piece leaves me feeling a bit unhinged, disjointed, adrift, surreal – holding onto my chair for support… “my pillow drowns in black and indigo…”The poem touches nerves all by itself and combined with the pastel work is just brilliant. Bravo.
mimi yoon replied
thank you estelle… i’m stuck lost somewhere out there….

Took me a minute but I know what you’re on about. There’s strong sentiment pulsing through it. Beautiful.
mimi yoon replied
ooo… thank you simon… you’re good… sad and nostalgic…

i really like the way you wrote this with such a careful rhythm and desrciptions that are slightly ambiguous… and, of course, another beautifully crafted piece of art :)
...such distance…
mimi yoon replied
thank you brother… ambiguous is the word : )... i found this in my journal from a several months back…
scott allison
well, of course we never want to straight out say what we mean now do we? after all, where would the mystery be if we did?
i am glad you used it!
my big sister is such a tormented soul…
mimi yoon replied
ooo… i just became a very interesting and soulful person with your words… i like it !! : ) thank you~
scott allison
you were interesting and souldful without my help… but you are welcome none the less :)
i have not forgotten about our little project by the way… just been caught up in life i guess. time slips away so easily doesn’t it?
mimi yoon replied
for sure scott… and the project, anytime you’re ready…
are you on your lunch break? or still on the company time? ;P
scott allison
don’t tell… i’m “working” at the moment. it is a slow day…
mimi yoon replied

it is cold in here today.
it rained last night with loads of really loud thunder that kept me up.
i am tired and the coffee is bad but i drink it anyway…
mimi yoon replied
ahhh… lucky you… the rain not the coffee… it is pretty cold here too for august… so much for the global warming… it was very cloudy in the morning but the sun just poked through… darn~
i would love to offer you my starbucks… but ur too far…
kamel
It’s a pleasure to see your works…
scott allison
the rain was nice… thunder was a bit much :)
from my understanding, it is global warming that causes the excess moisture in the air which makes it more humid and therefore actually cooler in the summer in our part of the world… i am a nerd.
it’s sunny here now too. hot and humid.
i appreciate the sentiment of the starbucks even if i cannot drink it :) i will get one on my lunch… and read my buddha book…
