thanks scott… i struggled with this one… i couldn’t finish it in my usual 45 minutes or 1 hour or an hour and a half even… towards the end, i thought i was going to suffocate (funny but really)... before turning the board around to start over, i thought i would just purposely ruin it… then it came through… my state of being…

well, I am glad it worked out for you. I have a habit of getting out my gallon of gesso and a big brush when I think things aren’t working out… You are strict about your 45 minute rule huh?

me too… but this one with gesso, i would’ve lost the wood texture..
and 45 minute rule does not exist, but i would like to keep my art fresh and spontaneous with lots of energy bouncing around… : )

This is simply breathtaking… The wisps of hair weightlessly flowing in the background crossing over the blaze of orange is incredible. The power in the eye certainly looks like it could see through anyone’s soul… and i love the sense of movement.
