When I was a young teenager I made three vows:

Marry Nancy
Move to Australia (with Nancy)
Never, EVER, take photos like my dad

Number 1 didn’t happen, but let’s not get into that now. Heartbreak at 13 lasts forever.

Number 2 did happen (minus Nancy).

And fortunately number 3 also worked out.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love my dad dearly. But the hours I lost standing rigid with cheeks burning from a forced, fixed grin while dad continually adjusted his focal length could have been spent achieving something much more worthwhile. Like climbing Everest. Twice. Backwards.

So when I started taking photos I vowed never to put anyone through that same experience (sorry dad). And that’s just as well, because as a Sydney wedding and baby photographer it’s crucial that my shooting style is dynamic, fluid and fast!

In fact I try to be as invisible as possible, meaning that my clients get to relax, be themselves, have fun, and end up with amazing photos!

Four guys from Scotland once declared: love is all around. This is true, and I want to capture as much of it as possible. So my clients include anyone who is in love, engaged, expecting, or a proud parent, and my service to them is to capture some of their moments of life and love so they can relive them forever.
