is he a friendly spider monkey or does he lead a life of disambiguation? where is he travelling to on the big fish? i love this image its almost like a dream milisa
self plagarism isn`t plagarism its your own work and i like hitchcock, his use of psychology in his scripts makes them still interesting and sometimes hiliariously funny and frightening at the same time he was a mastercraftsperson? no doubt about that
Milisa this called up all sorts of memories for me – Sinbad, Pinocchio, Monkey, Jonas and the Whale. It also made me think of Javanese shadow theatre. The flowing brushwork of the great fish in particular, is very impressive.
Nicholas, you seem to be on the ride track of mind I’m on. The great archetypes of lessons; those boys and men… offered up to adventure by the whims of immortals who survive to tell the tale.

He lives beyond his means, so after destroying his land he takes to the sea to find to new and better worlds to break.
I have painted this image on three separate occasions. To quote Alfred Hitchcock “Self-plagiarism is style.”
