We launched leggings! Step into a world of individuality.

A dragonfly struggling to the top most aspect of a plant. Its rear wings are wrinkled. I’m not sure why. Their wings are small and wrinkled when they first emerge and must be pumped up (by the heart) and dried out before ready to fly. Maybe this determined fellow is still in process.

Nikon D90, 35 mm (Nikkor AFS 2.8D 35-70 macro setting), 1/250 sec, F/9, CP filter, hand held

“LIfe is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away (source unknown).” It is my heartfelt desire to share some of my breath-taking moments, hoping that you also may receive something of enduring benefit.

    A wonderful capture . . . beautiful!!

  • Ah, thank you, Lorilee. Much appreciated. I went down that day to hopefully capture a heron that regularly frequented the spot, and only found this dragonfly. So we made the best of it :-)
