The hike to LeConte Cliffs is one of my favorites. The west access trail winds along the cliff face itself. The higher one goes the deeper one breathes and the more enlivened one can feel. As I rested there at the crest, drinking in the panorama, this beauty showed up. Her presence, all decked out in a vibrant winter coat, was a punctuation sign – an exclamation point! – for the journey.
