Can you believe that such beautful animals are still hunted in the lower 48 for sport?

Actually he’s not treed by a pack of hounds. He one of two cougars contained within a wildlife preserve on Grandfather Mountain, NC, USA where animals are supported that would not be able to survive in the wilds. Felines demand a bit of fresh greens in their daily diet and he’s having his way with some pine needles in the style of Euell Gibbons (now who besides me is old enough to remember the outdoorsman EG and his natural diets?).

    I too remember EG, but never gave him much thought. He sure could survive in the wild though. LOL Awesome capture!!!
