A Tahitian Sunday.
One of my few vector works. Originally called “The last one out”, though in this format as a card etc, i felt that a different title perhaps? I will still retain the other title and use it here and there, i don’t believe there is a precedent for such – but who really cares hehehehe!
*Like most islands in the Pacific, Christianity plays a a large part of social interaction, gatherings and has interwined its self so strongly with cultural norms that the two now ae inseperable?
The Last one out was a reference to not only the lady in the picture, but of the departure of all the congregation, where have they gone?
Why to Sunday lunch of course, just as important, the family Sunday lunch, something i guess many of us have lost…....?
Simple things…. but oh so precious!
