1920's Picnic in Gloucestershire
This picture was probably taken by my Great Uncle Pip in the 1920’s. Pip was the brother in law of my Gran Lil. Our family is from Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. Its a large family – my mum is one of 8 children.
I do not know anyone in this photo. My memories of Uncle Pip and his Brownie are from my childhood in the 50’s.
I think this a picnic on Cleeve Hill as part of a rabbit shoot – a popular hobby at the time and a cheap source of food.
If anyone recognises people in the photo please contact me.
Edited using photoshop and I’ll be adding more later. Your advice on improving quality would be greatly appreciated
