Mike this is awesome!!! Love the treatment you used. Could you tell me what you used to achieve this look? And this is a fav for me.
Mike Savad replied
mostly it’s my usually method. add black, fade. make mask, use a pen to bring back highlights, then use a vivid light layer set to a no color change grey, use white to bring out more highlights. then use dark red to add more shadow to enhance the petal shapes.

That is way over my head Mike lol. I`m 60 and much slower then you. I need a step by step proceedure if you know what I mean. I kind of do something like that when editing my work. But nothing like you can do.
Mike Savad replied
this technique is actually experimental, eventually i’ll make up a guide, but not until after the holidays. i’m still working on methods to keep my flower shots looking like my other things. so the whenever anyone glances at my stuff they know i made it.

I understand completely Mike. I like to be different to and that is why I try to make my work look like art or a painting. I have had to teach myself all I know and have had no one that I know who knows anything about photoshop. So I plug along. But I love to learn and I love the creativity of it. i will look forward to a guide. It has been a pleasure hearing from one who is so talented…..Deb
