Captured on the 10th December 2011, about an hour before the Total Lunar Eclipse this image of the Full Moon has been enhanced to show the colours captured by the camera that our eyes can’t see.
The colours are real – they highlight the different mineral and iron deposits on the Moon, which show up in different colours when captured photographically and had the saturation enhanced.
Captured with a Canon 40D and ED80 telescope, 100 images stacked to reduce noise, and processed in Registax and Photoshop.
