About Mike Salway

My name is Mike Salway and I’m an amateur astronomer and photographer.

I’m the co-founder of the Amateur Astronomy community site, IceInSpace, and my personal blog site and image gallery is at mikesalway.com.au

I love high resolution planetary imaging and deep-space imaging using a telescope, and I love capturing wide field vistas that involve a lovely foreground scene combined with astronomical interest in the sky.

Nice one Mike. The larger view looks awesome. Those clouds look like they are twisted & the colour of the rocks is brilliant.

  • Thanks Michael – the full size version really gives it some scale. I’d love to get a large version printed for myself one day.
