A glimpse into the love life of Canada Geese or “Dinnae blink or ye’ll miss it!”
Please take a moment to read the full description. Thanks!
I noticed a pair of geese swimming around in the Turtle Pond at the Marsh and thought that it would make a nice romantic shot. All of a sudden, there was a flurry of wings, a bit of splashing and the Missus disappeared! It would appear that step one (in fact, the only step) of foreplay is a quick dunking. You can just see her as a blur under the Mister.
The Missus suddenly reappears, a little taken aback by the looks of things. I can just hear her.
“Gasp, gasp. Jings! Ye might have warned me, ye daft gowk!”
There appears to be a little more conversation.
“Are ye done?? Gerroff!”
The post boink bugle. He, proud of his prowess; she, laughing like a drain.
Thinks: “That wiz a quickie. All o’ 6 seconds! Bloody Marathon Man, right enough!”
And the lovers swim off.
He: “Wiz it guid for youse?”
She: “Oh, aye. It wiz magic. Yer a big studly goose an’ aw!”
Thinks: “A sneeze and a wee fart wid huv lasted longer an’ prolly felt jist as guid….”
Ah! True love!
