Some of Colin’s work can be found here
My nephew, Colin Harper, at the ripe old age of 5, with his first “real” camera, a Canon Elph APS with a zoom lens, built-in flash and sundry other doodads. I got it for him for Christmas that year. Many pictures taken with this little camera and it cost the Old Uncle a small fortune in developing.
A few years later, I got him a Minolta Maxxum StSi SLR with a 28 to 100 zoom and a 70 to 300 zoom. Also cost Old Unk a fair bit of change for developing.
The digital age arrives!
Now he’s using my Sony Alpha 100 DSLR (on permanent loan) and his Minolta bits all fit on it. I also picked him up a little Sony 12 megapixel pointy-shooty for his birthday this year, so he could use that on any trips he goes on. Apparently it is “okay, but not as good as the big one”. Doesn’t cost too much now, just computer space, premium photo paper and ink. Come to think of it, it probably still costs me as much….
Minolta 600 si, Sigma 17 to 70, Kodak Gold 100 negative film.
