Van Morrison:

“And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when that fog horn blows I want to hear it
I dont have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then magnificently we will float into the mystic”

I was hoping it was a Van the Man reference. great mood, it looks like it could have been taken closer to the arctic circle in winter than the St. Lawrence in September.

  • Thanks very much, Brock. We get some amazing effects on St Larry’s Crik in the spring and fall when there are temperature variations between the water temps and ambient.

Nice grab Mike. Not every day is sunshine and roses.

  • Thanks very much, Al. Actually it was a pretty nice day – this was all fog from the river!

Wow Mike this is beautiful, the lighting in the thumbnail caught my eye, viewing it larger it almost looks like a very beautiful painting, what a lovely place to live :)), wonderful composition

  • Thanks so very much, Sharon. I’m lucky enough to drive along the river on the way to work every day. Not so much fun during a snowstorm, but most of the time not so bad! It looked like this today.

  • Many, many thanks for your lovely comments, Sylvia. Greatly appreciate the favourite, too! I see this type of scene a lot on the way into work at 6.30 in the morning. An added bonus is that my workplace is on a hill overlooking the river very close to where this was taken.
