A jazz trio with an incredible singer.
Gumbolini’s Crab Shack and Oyster Bar, Cornwall, Ontario, 1997.

Minolta Maxxum 600si, Sigma 28 to 70, on camera flash
Kodak TMAX 100 B&W film. The nice thing about TMAX was that it could be taken to the 1 hour labs for developing. The bad thing about that was that I just spent about 30 minutes getting the dust specks off this print. No other post processing.

In love with Ma Nature! Always have been, always will be. Let’s keep her safe, eh?

Anothe great B&W shot with emotion.

  • Thanks so very much, FM. I enjoyed working with B&W, particularly in this type of environment.

Great b&w, looks like a early sixties shot, nice work

  • Thank you very much, Sharon. B&W somehow does the trick, eh?

Nice moody shot, befitting the blues.

  • Greatly appreciated, Al. Great little place, now closed, unfortunately.

You really get feeling into your shots, don’t how you do it, but it’s there.

    Excellent.

  • Thanks so very much, Malcolm. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been a musician myself or perhaps it’s because I’ve been photographing musicians for quite a while now. I just love capturing folks in performance.

Yes, very nice, crisp whites and clear black tones! :O]

  • Thanks, Tracy. That was Kodak’s Tmax 200. You could take it to a department store’s 1 hour lab and have it developed there. But I used to send it to a proper lab.
