Them Bones, Them Bones... by Michael Lee

Sometimes when I’m sketching I’ll start with the skeleton of a figure then add muscle, skin and finally clothing. Here’s a sketch that I’ve purposefully left unfinished for your interest.

You can still see the skeleton and I’ve added most of the muscles and you can see that I’ve begun to add the soft tissue.

Independent comic artist and budding screenplay writer, Mike Lee’s real pleasure is science fiction. While studying for a degree in science, Mike has several screenplays in late development one of which is currently being adapted to a motion comic.

you are very much welcome! and yes, it has been a bit… my mac went comatose on me, and it took 9 months to get it fixed… trying to get back into the swing of things! :)

  • Wow… nine months and you didn’t get another computer to fill the gap in your life? I guess you couldn’t of known at the time that’d take nine months, huh?

Well you’re back now and that’s all that matters.

unfortunately, i didn’t have the money needed to get it fixed until i got my taxes… i have 5 kids, so that’s where most of my money goes to… i didn’t even draw for the 1st 4 months, as i was too depressed to… then i decided to try and remain creative to some degree, and started writing, and eventually drawing…

  • Good for you, Roo. I’ve started writing a novel recently. It’s difficult to shake the screen writing voice but if I did it once I can do it again.
