Scepticism is a fundamental component of the scientific method and every scientist worth the title should also consider themselves sceptical by nature. Because without scepticism one is only inquisitive and the inquisitive (as noble as their motives are) can be too easily misinformed.

I think the plain dark background works well with the whole idea. Skeptic Man is driving a shaft of light into the dark shroud of ignorance.
