STREET PHOTOGRAPHY: DOCUMENTING THE HUMAN CONDITION

Just came across a really nice set of documentary online videos entitled “Street Photography: Documenting the Human Condition” by Chris Weeks.
It consists of 3 parts, each about 15 minutes long.
Part 1 of 3
Part 2 of 3
Part 3 of 3
I certainly enjoyed it, even just for removing yourself to objectively look at the genre of Street Photography as practiced by others. Hope you enjoy it, and let me know what you think.

Thank you. I read his book about a year ago “Street Photography for the Purist ” and I loved it. Once I have watched all the videos tonight I will let you know. I loved his book so I am sure these videos would also be great.

Thanks for sharing… I need one of those Leicas, now……!!!

Thanks Mike for posting this! This is a great insight into street photography in the tradition of Henri Cartier Bresson. Quite different than the approach by Gilden. Tony

  • The way it should be in my humble opinion – A much more dignified approach for both subject and photographer. The “other person” acts like an … :-)
