Join me at the Juried Invitational Exhibition…

I am very excited to have my art selected, from over 73000 works of art, to exhibit in SoJie 20. SoJie 20 takes its name from the first letters of Solo’s Juried Invitational Exhibition. This month is only the 20th one, ever, and 91 other artists, besides myself, are represented.

Winners of the invitational will be announced on April 26th, when a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in three categories: digital art, photography, and traditional art.

Non members, as well as members, ARE welcome to view all of the work nominated. So I hope that you will click the show banner, above, and follow the link to view my fellow exhibitors. The works are show

3x Finalist in Photography Competition: Shameless Self Promotion

I’m proud to announce that three of my images were selected to be within the ten finalists now competing in the “Different Faces of Asia” Photography Competition.
These are my three images running for it:
The Smoker #0101
The Joys of Youth #0201
Lady in Kathmandu #0401
This competition is run by Digital SLR Photography Magazine Malaysia. Public voting through Facebook account for 25% of the total judging.
If any of my RB friends wish to provide me with their support by voting (very blatant and shameless appeal – but please feel free to also vote for your real favourite too :-)), you can visit the magazine’s DSLRMY Facebook Site. You first have to “Like” their page, then scroll down and click the “Different Faces of Asia” notice on their wall. This will take you to the ten finalists’ images, wh…

Part 1 of 3
Part 2 of 3
Part 3 of 3
I certainly enjoyed it, even just for removing yourself to objectively look at the genre of Street Photography as practiced by others. Hope you enjoy it, and let me know what you think.

It would be very difficult for me to find, quote and analyse any official, legal facts on general Middle Eastern policies and laws on Street Photography, but I can share some of my own experiences and observations that can perhaps help to keep photographers out of trouble with the law. These thoughts and observations are entirely based on my own experiences within the countries mentioned and I welcome any additional thoughts and / or facts from anyone who can share their own k
