How interesting, on one level they look like open seedpods, but on closer inspection I guess they are upturned molluscs. Help me out here. I love the colours.
The trees along the beach up here in FNQ are full of these seeds. (I must find out their correct name!) The sand is littered with them from green and smooth to grey and withered. These are the opened ones – halves – I also have a set of complete ones in their wrinkled state which I’ll be making into a heart soon. All of the ‘I Love This Country’ series are photographed individually, colour corrected/enhanced and put back together in any shape I want. The heart seemed to lend itself to how I feel about the life up here!
