A Kentish Pheasant by mikebov

Currently unavailable for purchase

Spotted this scene whilst driving a back lane near
Goudhurst
Kent.
England

The road was clear and I had time to reverse the van to capture this shot.

With christmas approaching the pheasant needs to learn to keep his head down.
Standing proud on the gate made him an easy target, lucky I was only shooting a camera

Panasonic fz50

Nicely caught Mike. I’ve seen loads of them up here Mike. You are right, they do make easy targets.

  • thanks walks
I see loads down my way
There is a pheasant farmer a mile or so from where I live

Great spotting Mike – what a regal looking bird and those colours – just the hint – Wow ! As for easy target, now you tell me ! I have just sold my modified airpistol to pay for my next camera upgrade – a Panasonic Lumix GH2 with 14 × 140 interchangeable lens. Check the reviews on it.

  • a good purchase Roy
I have both the G1 & G2 and love ’em.
I bought the G2 body as a present to myself from my redundancy.
I got fed up keep switching lenses, I always seemed to have the wrong one attached .
Most of the time I just go out with the G2 with the 45/200 attached.
Thats why my landscapes are often made up of stitched images
