Robin’s Hood Bay
Yorkshire
England
The Coast to Coast walk created by Alfred Wainwright runs frpm St Bee’s Head in Cumbria
to Robin Hood ’s Bay in Yorkshire.
Tradition has it that you paddle in the North Sea at the end of the walk.
You then visit the Bay Hotel for a celebratory drink and to sign the coast to coast book.
I have not done this walk yet, but I still hope to one day.

Great capture Mike ~ sounds like a good walk too .. haven’t managed the south west coastal path yet but would love to some day … I especially like the celebratory drink at the end :)
yes the sw would be a great one to do if you had at least a month to spare.
We did the short stretch between Kingswear & Berry Head a few years ago.
It was surprisingly tough going, we had a very hot day and there are so many undulations along the cliff tops it felt much further than it was

Nice work Mike. I have been at both ends of the walk, but the bit in the middle is boring…it’s only the Lake District and dales and Moors..nothing special.
next thing you’ll tell me is the best bit is the nice easy flat bit east of Richmond,
No horrid hills to climb for 23 miles
