My sons James & Will at Stickle Tarn after our circular walk around the Langdale Pikes.

We had camped overnight next to Stickle Tarn.
In the morning we ascended Jack’s Rake to rise out of the mist to the summit of PaveyArk.

We then completed a circular route via the summits of Pike O’Stickle, Loft Crag & Harrison Stickle (seen above), before returning to Stickle Tarn where we broke camp before the 1500ft descent to the Stickle Barn Pub & a pint of Theakstons Old Peculiar.

Lovely capture, with the reflections and the mist. Sounds like fun.

  • It was a fantastic walk.
It’s great that the 3 boys still come to the lake district with us.
I think they are coming again next easter.
    I say boys, but they are 24,20 & 18

  • cheers Steve, it was one of the most memorable walks we have done.
The overnight camp with 1 or 2 beers
    The scramble up Jacks rake
    topping out above the clouds…brilliant

Lovely moody shot Mike. I think this is one of my favourites

from you…..on my fave list. Cheers.

  • Thanks Roy appreciate the fave.
I love walking in the mist, it makes you so aware of your immiediate surroundings.
had to be careful with navigation though
Tom is an expert with compass so no problem
