Waiting outside HMS Belfast, we were hit by a sudden squall.
I think I was the only one enjoying the weather
bridge, bw waterfront, london, rain, river, south bank, squall, thames, wind
Great shot, Mike. So, how did you avoid raindrops on the lens? ;-)
I was hiding under a tree to get focus set up , then quickly stepped out into the open, took the photo and then spent a couple minutes drying it off.Worth the effort ( and the soaking)
Especially worth it from our point of view.LOL
there in 2007, on a day just like that. Actually it rained for eleven hours and Iwas on the tiller !!
Aah the fun of boating.I was rather pleased with the conditions in that I didn’t want a standard tourist shot of the bridge
Great shot and effort Mike!
thanks PhillipThe rain transformed this view adding so much more interest to the walkway.
Thanks SteveThis shot has convinced me to do a b&w calender this year. This would be good for April or November
Excellent capture Mike, I forget it was raining quite hard yesterday…
The line between Haywards Heath & Wivelsfield was flooded for a whiledelaying our journey home.Went down to Seaford in the evening they hadn’t had any rain
awesome shot, well done braving the weather, it certainly payed off with this shot.
many thanks Scott.I enjoy extreme weather. living near the coast, I head straight down there when a storm rolls in
Thank you for adding this to our new group ‘Lumix Lovers.’ It makes a great addition to the group. You have captured that famous English rain beautifully Mike.
Thanks WalksIt was worth the soakingI was pleased to get something different from a sunny tourist shot
Great shot! I’m thinking one of those umbrellas that fasten onto the shoulders (keeping your hands free) might be handy for photographers – but I never see them any more…
A wetsuit & waterproof camera might be easier…lol
Great shot :)
