Hope Gap & the Seven Sisters by

Another view of my favourite place
In the foreground are the steps down to the beach at Hope Gap.
The cloud shadows helping to enhance the sunlight on the seven sisters cliffs.
This is one of those views which is different every time you visit

    stunning mike

  • Thanks Steve
I have dozens of images of the seven sisters, but none in the snow I will have to put that right this winter.
I also want to get a shot by moonlight at some point

Wonderful view, isn’t this what is called the cliffs of Dover or like them?

  • The white cliffs of Dover are about 80miles along the coast in Kent
They aren’t as white as the seven sisters.
Also the seven sisters are free of modern development so have been featured in several films including
Atonement & Robin Hood Prince of thieves.
My most viewed image is “The Seven Sisters”
Also my “Magnificent Seven” is a panoramic which shows the whole length of these cliffs

Beautiful. I almost got there last year. I couldn’t quite get up the cliffs at Seaford but I will be back one day :), its a mission of mine to take their picture.

  • There is a car park on the top of south hill
which would save you the climb.
I can give you directions if you need them
