Stainless Steel Art Installation by Anish Kapoor

Erected on The South Downs for the Brighton Festival
near The Chattri
Patcham
Brighton

I wanted to visit early morning so as to avoid the crowds
I arrived at 06:30 am, there were already 2 photographers there.
This photo was taken about 06:50
I was rather pleased that several people were in shot all just looking towards the curve.
I am also in the reflection along with tripod & small dog
By the time I left the site at 07:00am about 20 people were there . On the 1 mile walk back to the car I must have passed another 30 pilgrims.
It was well worth the early start the reflections & views were forever changing.
A definate case where a piece of modern art complemented its natural surroundings.
I will be uploading a collage of images shortly

A fantastic combination of the natural and manufactured in this surreal image. Was the cow really there? :)

  • Many thanks, Yes I was fortunate that the cow was there.
It all looks like a 1970’s album cover

Is this a temporary installation or will it stay indefinitely? It is fascinating.

  • It was only erected for the Brighton Festival, I was there on the last day, which is a shame as It would have been interesting to revisit under different weather & light conditions.
I believe it has been sold
