Miguel Hine is a Fine Artist originally born in Costa Rica, and currently resides in ” South” Miami Beach Florida.

2009 ARTIST STATEMENT

In a society that delves into instant gratification my work is enhanced by time. Even when
Spontaneity is an asset it’s also a path for observation and development. The essence of the work although
abstract initiates inspirationally toward’s impressionism and expressionism.

My designs and compositions are influenced by discovering new regions and becoming more
acquainted with immediate environments. Terrains inspire color, structure and a sense of vastness within
positive and negative space, all which present a balance and harmony. Music is the navigator towards the
subtleties from classical movement to the chaos of rock. Oceans move me into the abyss of erupting waves
or calmness of a transparent glazed sea.

The art continues to promote spiritual energy and passion dictates my life. As the unfinished novel
or the beginnings of a poem life is always treading upstream and the movement into change is inevitable.
